I've been noticing a trend over the past decade of how so many AfroAmerican movies and television shows debut on Netflix as opposed to the major theaters and broadcasting channels now. This reminds me of how as a kid all of the major television networks like NBC, ABC, and CBS featured Black television shows and movies not only through out the day but also in primetime. I remember this flick, and it is hard to image it is 40 years old. The first time I went to Chicago I had to visit the Cabrini-Green housing projects. I enjoyed the film because it was shot in the projects. Living in NY City I can't recall ever seeing the confederate flag (technically, the battle flag of Northern Virginia) flying. Here in the south, where I am now, I see one all the time.
